Celebrating Our Educators
The Green Schools Foundation proudly sponsors the Spotlight on Staff program, recognizing outstanding staff members throughout the district at monthly Board of Education meetings. Staff members are selected through nominations from district personnel, parents, students, and community members.
This program highlights the dedication, hard work, and positive impact that our educators and staff have on the students and community of Green Local Schools every day.

September 2025
The Green Schools Foundation presented the first Spotlight on Staff of the 2025-2026 school year to Sam York (Green Elementary School), Stacy Messner (Assistant Athletic Director), and Deputy Josh Gruelle (SRO at Green High School). GSF President Mark Herdlick expressed the Foundation's thanks and appreciation for going above and beyond for our students and families.
